Private 1BR + sofa bed Lodge with Garden (FG)

A very central location for visiting numerous castles and museums. Positive: This was in an excellent location right next to the castle and minutes from shops and restaurants. Lovely outside area with new furniture. However, it could have done with a sweep. The cleaning ladies had made the property inside immaculate. Negative: The garden was full of weeds and scruffy. Front entrance door (on the street )with cobwebs and not smart looking. No where to put toiletries in the bathroom. Too many cushions!!

A beautifully presented lodge, in a fantastic central location right in the heart of Alnwick. Positive: We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful Forest Green lodge set in the heart of Alnwick. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. We especially loved the cosy atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout. Set in a very peaceful setting, with the addition of an outdoor seating area where you can relax in the evenings after a busy day exploring and enjoy a glass of wine or two! The added attraction of this lodge is the fact that it is literally a 2 minute walk to all the wonderful shops, bars and restaurants and of course Alnwick castle itself! Communication from the hosts was excellent throughout and it was clear they take great pride in ensuring their guests have a wonderful experience. Overall, a fantastic place to stay for anyone looking for a relaxing break in Alnwick and a great base for exploring the Northumberland coastline. We cannot wait to return and are already planning out next trip! Negative: Honestly, nothing at all - we absolutely loved our weekend stay and really didn't want to leave.
